Kennebunkport Maine might not be the rowdiest town on earth, but it still does St. Patrick’s Day! I must admit, tomorrow’s breakfast plates are not loaded with green eggs or shamrock pancakes (next year, maybe?), but your stay at our Kennebunkport Bed and Breakfast will be tinged with Irish spirit!
If you’ve got a hankering for some old fashioned corned beef and cabbage, head over to Feile Restaurant and Pub in Wells. You can get your favorite Irish plates starting as early as 11 am! Don’t forget about fish and chip, bangers and mash, and shepherd’s pie – all staples from across the pond that you can get just across the river. Duffy’s, too, will honor the patron saint by cookin’ up over 3oo pounds of
If entertainment is more up your alley, Feile’s live music will begin at 2 pm and feature the Ed and Neil Pearlman Duo, complete with fiddling and step dancing. Return in the evening for more Irish jigs and ancient, as well as, contemporary music. Looking to stay closer to your Kennebunkport Bed and Breakfast? Check out Graves Library, just a few doors down from the Maine Stay, which will be hosting a “Celtic Night” of activities, featuring short performances from famous Irish plays (music and goodies will be available as well, all starting at 7 pm). Looking for something a little more lively? In the heart of Kennebunkport Maine lies Alisson’s Restaurant, which will offer Guinness draft beers on special all day. After a few, evening karaoke is sure to be rather exciting at nearby Federal Jack’s BrewPub. The only thing that’s missing from this year’s St. Patty’s Day celebrations is a rainbow. Here’s hoping that Mother Nature will cooperate!
