A Summer Evening on the Maine Coast

us who live here too!) there are lots of wonderful outdoor dining establishments in the area.  Just steps from the Maine Stay Inn, you’ll find the Arundel Wharf Restaurant, a classic sea- and land- food restaurant with an absolutely glorious deck overlooking the Kennebunk River close to where it joins the Atlantic Ocean.  It’s the perfect place for dinner or just a drink while watching the sunset.  What could be better than a stroll through Dock Square after dinner?  Well, dessert of course!  So after dinner and a little browsing at the unique boutique shops, it was definitely time for dessert.  And fortunately there are quite a few spots that offer delicious sweets (think candy, chocolates, cupcakes, and, of course, ice cream).  This evening called for a visit to the tried and true Ben and Jerry’s, as well as the new staple, Rococo.  But best of all, we stopped for a photo-op on the Kennebunkport-Kennebunk bridge and snapped a pic of a heron preening in the water.  Check us out on Facebook to see the beautiful shot!  It was a lovely summer night on the Maine coast, and we wish that you enjoyed a wonderful night like tonight as well.
