Final Shows of 'Miss Saigon' at the Ogunquit Playhouse

This marks the final week of the 2011 season at the Ogunquit Playhouse, and they are saving the best for last!  After an incredible run of shows this season, the always incredible ‘Miss Saigon’ is the cherry on top of a sundae lineup.  Our often read and always

enjoyed Tourist News says “Ogunquit Playhouse has outdone itself!”, while the Portland Press Herald calls it “Powerful!”  Staff and guests of our Kennebunkport Bed and Breakfast alike have raved about the cast this season, and their reviews are simply glowing for ‘Miss Saigon.’  Plus, since their Super Saver Seats are still available, starting at just $39, there’s no excuse to miss out.
A trip to the Ogunquit Playhouse is always a memorable experience, as they offer Broadway caliber productions in a small, intimate setting.  No need to battle the traffic of city Theater Districts, just cruise down Route 1 and pull into their well-staffed fields for convenient (and free) parking!  And best of all, there’s no such thing as a bad seat – the cozy auditorium means that everyone is close to the stage and no on has a view of the tops of their heads.  On your way, you can stop at one of the many fine restaurants in Ogunquit for lunch or dinner (yep, the Playhouse even has matinees!).  Bintliff’s makes an excellent destination for folks nervous about navigating the area – it’s so close that you can almost see the theater from their parking lot.  Plus, if you didn’t get your fill of breakfast foods at our Kennebunkport Bed and Breakfast, they offer a great brunch and a bistro inspired dinner menu.  If you’re looking to drink in views of the Maine coastline instead, take a quick detour down Shore Rd. to Jackie’s Too, a casual dining restaurant with million-dollar vistas.  And if you head down early, you might even have time for a seaside stroll on the Marginal Way, as it begins (or ends) right in their parking lot!
Truthfully, though, no one needs a reason to visit the Ogunquit Playhouse and their production of ‘Miss Saigon‘ because it is just that good.  I hope you enjoy the show!
