This Friday, April 16, 2010, brings the 15th annual Bid Against Child Abuse, an event to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Council of York County. The auction begins at 7pm, and tickets will be available at the door for $15. Included in the ticket price is Hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and coffee. A cash bar will be available.
The Kennebunk-based Child Abuse Prevention Council is a non-profit organization aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect. They provide programs in schools to empower children, and teach them respect for themselves and others, as well as “Baby Think It Over” programs for middle and high school students. Additionally the Council provides Family services and programs designed especially for men and boys.
