After much hemming and hawing, we at the Maine Stay Inn decided to convert one of our cottage suites during the summer. We discovered that we had a need for another king size bed, ideally in a cottage, and Suite #4 won out! Now cottage suite # 4 is definitely a “romantic” room. Although the room has seen many renovations since its erection in 1953, it has (at least by all known accounts) held a queen-

sized bed and a twin daybed. No one here knew what a stunning transformation would occur with such a simple change. Now the room beckons visitors with a high four-poster bed, luxurious new pillow top mattress, and bedding in earthly neutrals that seem to glow in the soft lighting or flicker of the gas fireplace. Breakfast, of course, can still be delivered to the private breakfast room, further adding to the romantic atmosphere. While cottage #4 lacks a Jacuzzi tub, this cottage suite now calls for a romantic getaway of lounging in bed in front of a glowing fire. A winter weekend here would certainly foster incredible memories!
The Maine Stay Inn and Cottages, your Kennebunkport bed and breakfast inn, is known for having “the nicest guests.” We can’t wait to make more memories with visitors to this, our most recently renovated, room and to all our others.
We had just returned from a wedding during Labor Day Weekend. We had a great time during our stay. I would like to thank Judy, Walter and the rest of the staff for making the weekend so enjoyable. The room renovations were very nice, especially the updates in the bathrooms. It was our first time traveling to Maine and when we go back we know where to stay. Thanks again.
